I’m Michelle, founder of The Crafts Cafe! I’m a passionate Collector & Doer of Crafts. As a software engineer turned tech educator, I started doing art & crafts to spend time away from screens. I quickly became obsessed. I’ve done many many crafts, and have many more on my TODO list! (Seriously, sunflowers are my jam and I’ve made it in 5 different crafts 🌻)
For me, crafts are a great way to turn down the constant overthinking that happens in my brain. I’m focused on the craft in my hands: one stitch at a time, one bead at a time. It’s a way to practice being okay with imperfection (keyword: practice) in a low-stakes, friendly environment. And of course, bringing something to life with my own two hands is so rewarding. The best part? Getting to do all of this with community! With you.

Who doesn't love a good tote? Style up and personalize your own tote bag. We'll have lots of inspiration for you to pull from, so sky's the limit!

Learn how to make an interactive slide-out card to give to friends! (Compliments are a great hit) This craft goes perfect with a themed event.

Perfect for those with sticker anxiety. Let’s get glue-gun happy! (Photocards are a popular collector item for K-pop fans, but you can use any photo you want!)

Learn the craft process with friendly step-by-step instructions & guidance. Together we’ll create the same project, with room for you to play & customize to your own style.

A crafts table adds an interactive element to your event, and gets your guests talking to each other: a creative icebreaker! While crafting, they can share ideas, encourage each other and have fun!

Book a private The Crafts Cafe party
Whether you're looking for a fun hangout with friends or a unique way to celebrate a special occasion, a private crafts party offers an engaging, hands-on experience that inspires creativity and connection.
Choose from a variety of creative activities (see The Crafts Cafe Menu) or suggest your own! We'll work together to make it happen. Parties can be hosted in your private residence, or we will partner with a local business to find a space. Works well for 6-10 people.

Who is this for?
Recovering perfectionists, casual artists, and anyone that wants to try something new! The Crafts Cafe is primarily a space for adults, though you may find some events that welcome all-ages.
Do you have a physical space?
Not yet! But that’s the dream ;) For now, The Crafts Cafe operates like a pop-up shop. You can find us at other events and spaces (even in your own home if you book a private party!).
Do you serve coffee & pastries like a cafe?
At The Crafts Cafe, instead of ordering drinks & pastries, you order crafts! ✨
